Accidents occur on roads across the U.S. for many different reasons. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration reports that during 2015, more fatal bus and large truck crashes that occurred were the result of speeding than any other factor. Clearly, reaching high speeds is very dangerous and an incredibly prevalent problem among those who drive both passenger vehicles and large trucks. Drivers speed for all sorts of reasons, whether they are late for work or do not want to miss out on an event. Sadly, this decision could cost them their life and claim other lives also. Distractions, such as cell phones and reaching for objects on the floor, as well as impairment due to intoxication and fatigue are also very concerning.
